Object snap is only working when AutoCAD is asking you for a point. Now move your cursor close to the point of intersection of any two objects, a green X marker will show up which is the intersection snap marker. When you turn on AutoTrack, temporary alignment paths help you create objects at precise positions and angles. Intersection osnap does not find the intersection. The problem is that AppInt (apparerent *extended* Intersection) doesn't work. As long as the marker is visible the cursor will snap to the intersection point. Extended intersections as shown below are available only as overrides during a command, not as a running object snap. If I want to snap to something in AutoCAD, all I have to do is press F3, and all of my preset snapping rules come into effect. Alternatively, since flatten is not available, manually select the lines and in the properties palette, make the Start Z and End Z to 0, even if its already displaying 0.000. It happens sometimes in object snap, it does not work to snap a intersection point (two crossed lines) when drawing a line or arc or others.
Click the Snap to parallel tool button () in the Entity Snaps toolbar.
Apparent and Extended Apparent Intersection do not work with edges or corners of 3D solids. Extended Apparent Intersection is not available as a running object snap. The solution is to explode the AcDbPolyline once more into normal AcDbLines. Extended Apparent Intersection snaps to the imaginary intersection of objects that would appear to intersect if the objects were extended along their natural paths. Hover the cursor over the entity you want to draw parallel to.
To use Object Snap Tracking you must first have both your Object Snaps (OSNAP), and your Object Tracking (OTRACK) turned on. Select the first surface/solid and press enter.
